Technical Corner: A Look Back at Kick starting

I've written an article a month for more or less 10 years centered around the traditional Bullet. I hope to be writing articles about the Bullet in one form or another for the next ten years. Over the years the issues didn't change but certain things came and went.

For the first few years, we spent quite a bit of time teaching people how to kick start their bikes. After the Electric Start came into being, the need for this type of training and support diminished. It kind of catches me off guard when I get one of those calls now. In the earlier years, you can't imagine how many people we had take a portable phone to the garage to walk them through it until we heard the satisfying sound of a Bullet coming to life.

I think it is time to recycle some of that training in this month's article on the proper kick starting of the Bullet.
